Attn Loud Trunks

OOOOOOO Love new toys!!! Can't wait to see the new digs!
ordered the rest of all my small ish today. all i gotta get is some 8g wire for the subs. so all the equip is ordered/ being shipped. now its just on to designin a box and cuttin out a lil of the rear deck hahaha. so its offically go time now. should be a decently loud build. tryin to decide on what to tune at though?

thor did i see 11 volts
Right at the end of that vid I noticed the drop. If you watch closely you'll see the voltage rise to 13+. That was 1 click less on my bass boost.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I've noticed that my alt doesnt like the cold so much. LOL Most of the time driving around it sits at 15.4 up front and 15.1-.2 at the rear. I have more wire waiting to get put in but working with that shit frozen sucks major ...lls:D

UPDATE:

Two door Olds Alero with two DD9512's. This is still a music box and not for spl only. We're just trying to make a crazy loud daily box for two 12's.

Previous box 149db @ 42hz 2800w clamped

New box similar style but smaller 149.8db @ 46hz 2000w clamped. Not bad with less power and port not fully tuned. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Going to tune port and hope for a little over 150 and then toss 4000w to it. Hope for a 151.5+

in all honesty i built the box to take to shows just to have fun after my ol spl car got smashed. i drop it in a half hr before i leave for a show. i have had the car a longggg time and it gets put up for winters and i dont want to loosen everything up and fug the car up. when i get back from a show i put the single 10" back in with a smaller amp. takes 20 mins to switch over and high score of 145.7 isnt bad. now i have a ol peon for a winter beater and i laugh when something breaks, more fun to make loud,lol...

I have a 96 se and mines is louder with my sub facing backwards and my port firing to the right than it was with the sub forward and the port to drivers side I dont know the volume but its around 2.5-4 cubes, vids in signature. I have yet to get it metered cause I dunno where I could go around here that has one.

Absolutely correct:D It's pretty well set. I brought it into the basement for the night and put it next to the furnace....well 8 ft away:D

what type of resin do you use i was thinking of using some resin in my box got it all sealed up and everything on outside is sealed and getting ready to be painted ill post when i get a chance

Out of the car again. LOL
Couldnt stand the box flex noise when I turned it up.

Resin away with a hair dryer to help cure in 40degree weather. LOL
A brace from top to bottom would help a ton to stop flexing of the box. Basically center from front to back and center in the main loading chamber area. It's so open and with only 3/4" mdf it'll even flex with the resin We use just 2x2" pieces of wood with two screws top and bottom.

Looks good though.

What I didnt get a pic of was the 18in of port wall that shrinks the common chamber. It supports well but def need to add some more strength. Will prob add threaded rod for supports once I get the darn thing tuned.
