I'm considering useing an existing box for my L7. with sub displacement it should give me 3.2462 FT3..almost max size required for L7 ported box.

Problem is it has two 6.5"in ports. I want to tune them to 38hz and get different lengths depending on calc i use. But should i make one shorter than the other?

i know some home theater subs are like this to reduce port noise...but dunno how that effects tuning.

make them same size in lenght? whats a good reliable port calculator, i used caraudio's and got 33.3 inches long for 2, i assume i half that for each port? and another gave me 14.30059 for each port

You're not going to know until you test with a meter. Typically even carpeting a box as opposed to painting is going to lose a few tenths.
