McDonalds you can get there chinese chicken salad. Fairly healthy. As far as Quiznos, turkey on wheat with practically nothing on it or one of there salads. IMO the chinese chicken salad from Mcdonalds is better than quiznos.Gotcha. I think I'll move my shakes then to 1 for breakfast, 1 after workout, and 1 before sleep.
Then that leaves me with 2-3 other meals that I can kinda-sorta eat healthy.
There is a quiznos near where I work (I work at starbucks) and a McDonalds...thats about it... Theres a Safeway too, if that makes any difference.
That makes a lot of sense as to why I am gaining muscle but still have some fat in areas I know I shouldn't.McDonalds you can get there chinese chicken salad. Fairly healthy. The reason to not drink the shake before u work out is, because your body burns the most fat on a completely empty stomach..Also, what do you use to mix your shakes with?
Dont use milk when drinking protein shakes. Since milk has its own source of protein it cause a cancelation of the enzymes in the powder you drink. This then causes you to get bloated...Best to use water. That makes a lot of sense as to why I am gaining muscle but still have some fat in areas I know I shouldn't.
I use a large glass of nonfat milk. Right now I need to gain weight so it is roughly 900 calories per shake.
I think Ill start hitting up those salads.
Thanks
Not really an issue of if it mixes or not. More of how the protein and milk combo mixture reacts to the bodyUse water, Or maybe if you have a blender freeze some fruit and make smoothie with the powder. Like above poster said milk really isn't good you can tell because it is hard to get some protein to fully mix with it. Also try to keep it limited to 2 muscle groups a day, be it arms and back, then chest and shoulder or w/e. Also I like to take a nice 5 min jog before I start to lift it helps me get my energy pumping.
everyone's body reacts differently to food and supplements. Best suggestion would be to see a personal trainer. That goes for lifting as well. You lift what you can, not what the guy next to you does.thanks for bringin up the topic. im 5'11 and my weight is 160 (small frame). i really wana have a model-body, ima enrol in l.a. fitness, and i dont know anything bout lifting weights, coz back in highschool i was a basketball player, all i do is run, push ups, situps, pull up, run, run, and run. i wanna know the routine, how many pounds/kg shud i lift, what shud i drink? and what foods can/ cant i eat? thanks guys...

make sure its egg whites only..Gotcha.
I do 10 minutes of cardio before I start my workouts. Stretching, etc.
I asked my trainer today about some workouts and learned some new ones, so I think I'll be able to get some more variety in.
This next week (I'm gone this weekend) I will be going to the store and getting lots of eggs/milk/ healthy foods. I think I'll start waking up earlier and making myself some eggs and toast from now on or something like that.
I figure if I spend the money I used to spend on alcohol on food that is healthy, I'll be eating pretty **** well.
Ok. Any number to start off with?make sure its egg whites only..
