ATTN ALL AA POLY 6.5 MID OWNERS...I have cured the tinsel lead slap !

If that's REAL watts... monitor the temperature. Mine get hot as ****.
yes that is real watts, i will keep in mind the temp though, i doubt ill be pushing them that hard to the point where they will actually be seeing that much power for any decnet amount of time, i also spoke with chad about it and he said i should be fine just dont go overbored. but thanks for the heads up

Mine had slap even with an 80 Hz, 24dB crossover slope with 100 watts from an SAX-100.4 on tap. I'll have to test em' out with the lead glued down... I'm a little concerned about the lead breaking, but hey, I've got 3 of em' down in the basement I'm not using to mess with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Mine slapped more on high bass-midbass notes more than lower bass notes.

Ive never had any slap problems. Right now Im actually running them without a high pass in sealed door pods with no problems. They can move a decent amount of air

I received a pair of the poly mids yesterday. I don't have any CA glue handy. Would a dab from a hot glue gun be OK? I will be doing the same thing that you did (gluing it to the edge of the frame)...just taking out some of the slack but leaving enough play so it doesn't snap.
