At what point in time should you add a 2nd battery to your car?

No situation, just trying to learn at about how much power you should get a 2nd batt

2 Sundown SA 12's @ 1 ohm on BRZ2100 with stock alt and batt with big 3 upgrade......not my setup but could be similar to that in near future

also depends on the car , if you see or have considerable light dimming then add the extra battery

in most cases 2000 rms with a efficient amp or less ,all you'll need is a good batt under the hood and the big 3

IDK if I would go as far as to call that amp "efficient" lol but it's a solid amp that should do rated power

Not always the case as lighting voltage is very picky ...before i installed hids i would get dimming at .2v drop...but like he said its very vehicle and situational...ive seen cars run 2-2500 on single batt .and ive seen ppl struggle to run 1k...op always start with the big 3 and a solid agm under the hood then go from there ..install a digital volt meter on the dash to monitor voltage drop
