What do you think of this mid-bass? I want to add more midbass to my front stage - thinking about getting 2 for each door

I have focal utopia component 6.5' 2 way currently

they are supposed to be alright, but a lot of people are having problems with tinsel slap on them. pm magick man, he was one of the first on this site to get a pair.

i like them. Fixed the slap. THey are good enough for the price... i would love to get the adire mid woofer or bass but its 100 a speaker.

well i have a pair but i cant really comment on their mid-bass performance because i have them installed in some kick panels i made that arent sealed so for me the mid-bass is practically nonexistant.

that is why i am going to throw a pair of kicker 8" mid-bass drivers in the doors (SSMB8)

i did have some problems with tensil slap but i fixed that pretty easily.

so they are very good drivers for the money but i am not sure of their low end performance.

Thanks for the advice - i want a SQ system and i don't want a weak link for my midbass - so i mite keep looking for a deal on a midbass driver -

Based on the T/S para, they have the making of a great midbass, but they need an enclosure.
