are RE MT's more for spl or daily?

True, I have given mine hell as well -- suppose it is a bit of a toss up! After all, my coil still looked pretty after ripping the speaker apart so that does say something for the ability to dissipate some heat despite the lack of apparent "added" cooling.

i have had my mt's for a few weeks now...idk what took me so long...i had HC's and xxxs for awhile, and i like the sound...

matrix dude ran 4 mt's off 2 stetsom 7kws daily & loved them. they do not have the cooling that the xxx or mx but they will still take hella abuse & for a spl speaker they sound pretty **** good.

Mt's cool a lot better than most people think. The MT and SX coil are the same size, length and gauge. Why does the MT handle so much more thermal power then?

Notice how my coil looks very good (besides the scrapes). Running a 3000D at 1/2 ohm on it for quite alot of demo and burping time.

The scrapes are from when it came apart physically, thermally it was alright.
