Are Omega Subs any good?

I just bought parts of a system for 1000 dollars from my cousin. I got all the wiring, Eclipse Top of the line head unit w/ remote, an omega 10 inch sub, two mb quarts rear speakers i think theyre 6 in 1/2, and a 600 watt Rockford Punch Amp... Is this a good deal.. All his wiring are thick gauge and he gave me fuses and most of it is all gold plated wiring.. (monster cable) My last question and main question is if the Omega Sub is any good or is it crap and what does it compare to in quality and Hit.. Thank you all!
