Everything I've told you is good info, the problem is you just don't want to listen like 3/4 of noobs that come here or to any other forum. I to was getting extreme dimming on hard bass notes with only an 800 watt amplifier. My truck is brand new so I knew if wasn't the alternator or battery but what I found was that my stock wiring going from my battery to alternator was ridiculously small. So I did the big 3 upgrade and ran bigger wire from my battery to alternator, battery ground to chassis and engine block to chassis. Problem solved after this upgrade and you know how much it cost me, about $20 for the 4 gauge wiring and connectors and sleeving to make everything look good and clean. So your theory about telling people to spend a fortune doesn't really hold much truth around here. In fact most everybody on this forum flames the little jl fanboys that come on here talking about how much they spent. This place is much more about the little brands that cost half as much and sound twice as good. Hope you have fun with your little pity party on whatever forum you find thats going to tell you what you want to hear and in your case thats going to be a big shiny capacitor will fix all your problems. Make sure to get the ones with the digital lcd displays cause those give you at least 3 dbs over the regular caps.[/QUOTE]
Well i just installed one of those shiny capacitors yesturday and look at this... no dimming at all with subs more powerful than my originals. And yes, it does have a LCD display.
I further point out the fact that this forum is just a bunch of idiots who have no idea what they're talking about. My brother in law who is an engineer urged me install one, as well as all my friends, and my mechanic. Why i listened to you guys over them i have no clue.
