Are my RE SE's going bad already ?

I just purchase some SE's 12's and I've had them for a little less than a week and they have only been played hard like 6 times and now on long bass notes they seem to drop downon at high volumes...what gives ?Are they going bad or is it to much power 750 rms to each one....my amp isn't clipping because the gain is halfway.... they are in a prefab Ported Pro Box that has four port...anybody got a clue what might be the problem

I highlighted the fail for you.

We need much more info. Whats the CU and tuning on the box. Whats the setting on the amp? What is the amp? How is your electrical? ETC ETC

yes they've been broken in they haven't been played that hard at all i've owned subs before and never had this problem....they didn't do this at all at first the box is 1.4 cu per chamber the tuning maybe the issue but I wouldn't expect it to make the sub do that

not to mention there no bass even on coming from my head unit .....and could my electrical cause it? Just crazy how it work just fine and now when the volume is at 9 it seems to almost drop down like that...the amp is a Audiopipe 15001D its a great amp and the gain is halfway and no bass boost

well I think I may have the issue....my LPF is was a lil high on my amp and i lower it and it no longer does but Im gonna still need some electrical upgrades the Audiopipe 15001D puts out true to life power

I would say it was set around 75 or 80 its now set at 35

well for some reason the sub(s) isn't doing it anymore it really to me sounded as if the sub couldn't hold the note that long or missing a beat .... I also know that I need new rca's because one of them has crapped out

35?? what kinda front end do ya have to suport such a low LPF at. the cross over is to low. 75-80 is about right with a HU powerd front end.

what concerns me is that you say out put drops on long bass notes. perhaps your elec system isnt good enough or power and ground to the amp arnt suffeciant. a pre fab box isnt the greatest thing in the world but it should kill out put over long bass notes. i say stick a DMM on the amp power and ground and see what the voltage is durining said long bass notes
