Cheap dirty inefficient power isnt an excuse. That mtx amp I recommended was cheap power. The apsms dont put out clean power and dont do rated money may run the world but you get what you pay forCheap power, that's why.
Im not opposed to buying used at all. How would you know the condition? What if you got is DOA? Is their any buyer protection?I buy a solid USED amp before I ever even considered wasting money on any of those inefficient garbage amps, but to each their own //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif BTW MB Quart & Hifonics are made by the same company along with Autotek & many others... BOSS is complete garbage, I wouldn't use that shyt for a door stop in my shop... If you want to run cheap amps you better have GOOD wiring & half way descent electrical at the very least - EFFICIENCY is your friend when you are on a budget, but no one seems to grasp this concept... SMH
I've never bought a used amp that the seller wouldn't let me hook up and test right in front of him before I bought it... If a seller wouldn't let this happen then he's got something to hide...Im not opposed to buying used at all. How would you know the condition? What if you got is DOA? Is their any buyer protection?
Well, its kinda hard to test a amp if i have nothing to test it on? Right? What about the classifides? Good to buy their?I've never bought a used amp that the seller wouldn't let me hook up and test right in front of him before I bought it... Yeah good point, I guess I take that for granted as I live very close to Chicago & I can ALWAYS find a good deal on craigslist...^^^The issue with that is, not everyone lives in a major metro area where there is countless amps for sale on Craigslist. It's a good option if you have it, but not exactly feasable to everyone. As for buying on something like here or caco used, I know a lot of people have good luck with it. But I wouldn't take the chance with my money except with a small handful of people on this site. Also, the majority of consumers want something NOW. They don't want to have to wait around for one to MAYBE pop up for sale. They'd rather click add to cart and checkout, even if it is slightly inferior in terms of quality.
On here and other forums if you read a lot and see what's going on & with who - MOST ppl around these places take pride on a good feedback score and will answer any & all questions you have prior to making a deal so you know what you're getting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Like I said though, It helps to know who's who & what's what cuz there are scammers in this world everywhere you turn - Internet included... I've also bought used amps blindly on ebay without issues either, but maybe I'm just lucky? Ebay at least has buyer protection where they will refund your money if you never recieve your item or it is NOT as it was listed when you made the purchase, so that's a viable option in my eyes as well...Well, its kinda hard to test a amp if i have nothing to test it on?
