its not the clipping that will blow the sub its the heat thats generated and not knowing when to turn it down....but if its loud to you without clipping why start to have the amp clip now??????.....

If I want louder I make a new box tuned to 40hz, I already got the design and all but I dont wanna upgrade yet. Ill build it whenever I want louder.

lol well If hes gonna get the AQ2200 is should be about the same.
so btw I know you should avoid clippin the amp but does it take a matter of time or just 5 seconds of continious clippin can fuk up the amp?

as in like when i go get it metered/showin off type thing---would it be cool lettin it clip steady for like 5 sec. or nah? Im just saying like once a month

i dont know about u but im building a new box tomarrow and will have pics. its going to be smaller 3.5cb per sub after dispacments @ 38hz with 6 4inch home made areo ports flared. The box will be in black vinyl and the front thats facing the hatch with the ports will have a staind brich like sleepys box. and the ports will be a glossy black. Can some one say sexy......

I will be letting mine clip when I get it metered, short bursts don't really hurt.
