Hey guys, I just got my sub today and this thing is massive. My amp will be here sometime next week, but Im gonna start my box anyday now and planning on finishing it this weekend. Im just going to post more pics as soon as we start building the box. btw are the hdc3s suppose to come with some instructions on how to break it in and such?

cuz mine didnt lol

its just like 6 hours of half volume correct?

AND ILL DEFINITLY POST VIDS UP....when it comes to that point

 
i never broke in my hd3 12 or my hdc312. and i dunno how much play time my hdc15 had before i got it. but then again i only have a 1200d on it

I don't really think they need to be broken in, just start playing it and it will loosen up on it's own. But then again i've never used these subs so i'm not sure

 
I'm breaking mine in for sure, not going to risk getting any mechanical noise. If I were you I'd break them in correctly also, put about 20 hours with low volume, and no low notes.

Also, why the low tuning?
because what ppl dont know is this bishes will get LOW in a low tuned box BUT in a box tuned to 40 hertz they do get low and alot louder but not a LOW as a lower tuning..

Its kinda weird what im tryin to say by..hmm

30-35hz they get super LOOWWW

37-42hz they'll get low BUT it will have better SPL

It is the same one that Rockford Fosgate sells as well. They are identical and the NVX is cheaper as well. Even Amazon has them iirc for 199.99...
