AQ2200D --Will I need a new alt?

I want the aq2200D and it has an external fuse rating of 200amps. Right now i have a stock alternator and im wondering if i will need to upgrade mine. If so how much will a new one cost?

what will happen to my system if i keep the stock one and its too little? would the amp protection s save itself? because i would really rather not upgrade unless i really have to

naw you wont need one... get 2 batteries or just one big one....

btw what kind of Volvo do you have?

get one if you can find one if ya got the cake. but if your short on cheese then you should be straigh with stock alt w/ a nice kenitic or an oddessey in the back

upgrade yor front battery and add an extra one in the rear. itll probably run about the same price as an alternator, though.

I got aq220d on 200amp alt with big 3 in 0 gauge and 2 redtops. All 0 gauge for install. No dimms and im going to run that on a aq3500d when it comes out

i got a 98 s70 T5. turbos nice... but im 18 so insurance is a b*t*h on it.

I'm running a current hog amp in the ma 4000 and I'm still using my stock alt. Never see below 14 volts with a yellowtop in the back and front. 0 gauge run and everything is great.

If you want to play loud for an extended amount of time then there is no way around it, yes.
