Sundown 1000D Vs. Arc FD600.1

Is the Arc a significantly better amp than the Sundown?

Both amps are rated for a little over 300 watts @ 4 ohm which in my case would be driving an Arc12D2 sub at 4 ohm.

I have already purchased the Sundown, but it has not arrived yet. There is an FD600.1 for sale cheap (much less than I paid for the 1000D) that I am seriously considering, but I just dont know if it would be worth it.

Which amp would you choose?

Yeah, thats what I'm thinking too... If the Arc would have been available before I ordered the sundown, im sure I would have bought it.

I'm sure you'll be very happy with the 1000D. Perhaps you may even decide to run it at 1 ohm where it is a good bit more powerful than the Arc.

Yeah, I think you mentioned to me to try it at one ohm, and I might do that.

right now I have my Arc12 wired at 4 ohm and running of my ED Nine.4 bridged at about 150 watts or so, and it sounds good (to me anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ) So i'm thinking that doubling the power to 300 watts will probably be "enough". Not sure though, I guess I will just have to try it both ways.

My Sundown 1000D just arrived! It looks great (looks exactly like the pics posted on the sundown website, so I didnt think I would post any more)

I just need to find time to install it....

The remote bass control unit is tiny! I expected it to be much bigger, it should be an easy fit to go in the pocket below the headunit!

i reallly miss my 1000d , but i needed the money and im sure mr. sundownz will be around when i need another. excellent amps.
