AQ 2200 need help fast please..

I don't know what the **** happened, but I was driving and I had it pretty loud, but not full tilt, and the bass just cuts out.. I pulled over to check it and ONE amp is ****ing hot as ****, while the other one is cool.. I can't recall me doing anything wrong, hell I wasn't even clipping them.

At first it went into protect, it just lit up red and turned off. Now it won't even show that its in protect..

ahh should have looked...i havent ran two amps so i couldnt tell you exactally what may have happened but mabey the one amp just had a defect...im sure it happens all the time..not saying it happens all the time with aq..just be glad both didnt go poof!

This is really ****ed up.. They were running fine for about a month now? I just don't understand what could cause this. And they're getting a steady 13+ volts..

It might have just had a weak connection somewhere in the amp and you hit that cetrain note that broke it loose. I had that happen with my 1501D back when I first got it. I'm sure DJ will take care of it though he seem's to be a really cool guy...

That could be possible, but it would BURN your hand if you touched it, and if you touched the master amp, it was cool...

I sent DJ a PM, hopefully I don't have to shit out more money as i'm already broke as ****. I guess I won't be attending the meet...

Get in touch with DJ I am also running 2 AQ 2200's and I have not had any problems with them for over 6 months, they barely get warm and I am in Pensacola, Fl

They are really helpful folks,

I too was running 2 linked aq's and they never even got warm to the touch, the zx 650 on the other hand gets hot / really warm ..

only thing i can think of is maybe you shorted one out ..

how are your wires ran,

Are they nice and tight and clean?

yep, I didn't want to call him since he closes @ 6 cst..

i'm talking to him (or trying to) via pm..

everything is good and solid, there are no problems.

and mine never ran cool daily, they would usually get warm/hot. after 1-3 hours of use with minimal clipping.

Do you have thick wire like 8gauge strapping em together?

Its "4" gauge wire but its actually 8 gauge yes.
