Anyone let Best Buy/Circuit City install their system?

Those would be $15 well spent.. and come to mind when I think about ordering a 1/0 kit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

The ones that have all the factory controls integrated and shit? Say the Metra book for them...aren't they like $150 or something?

Wouldn't doubt it...IIRC the new Mazda 6 dashkit is $100.

The best is when people come in with newer Taurus/Sables and flip out because they gotta spend ~$80 on parts...then I show them the 70-5715, which is a good 100ft of wire and they shut up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You guys don't have the 99-5715? Includes the harness and the kit...

We charge $60 to do a radio in that car, along with the free install...it's the easiest 'rewire' ever...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Hmmm...don't think so...don't know why not either. We have the Escort one...with both included...

I don't have a CC or BB where I live. But rumors say we might be getting a BB. But I wouldn't let anyone install my car stereo. I rather install it myself, cause I like to take my time.

If you don't know how to do it yourself, learn.
Some people don't want to do it themselves.

Some people don't want to learn.

We've got a store here in NY that averages about 25 installs a day...and about 40 on Sat or Sun. There is always a market for installations...there will always be one...

You wanna put a new engine in your car? How about renovate your home? Not everyone wants to DIY.

Actually I would, and I do. I guess thats just me though, im a DIY'er.

Well here is all the wire and installation stuff I have for the amps:

-20 Feet 4 AWG Blue Kolossus Power Wire

-3 Feet 4 AWG Silver Kolossus Ground Wire

-One FH-24 with 80A Fuse size

-One 5 Meter Klarity Kable Blue OFC RCA Cable with Built in Turn On lead

-20 Feet BLUE Klear Kable OFC 12 Gauge Speaker Wire

-2 Gold Plated 4 AWG Ring Terminals, 2 Gold Plated 4 AWG Spade Terminals

-6 feet Split Loom and wire ties

-Klarity 2 Channel RCA Kable 5M

-Klear Kable Blue 12 Gauge Speaker Wire (20 extra feet)

-2 fuse distribution block

-4 or so 8ga spade terminals

-Couple 8ga ring terminals

-Some AGU fuses that range from 30A to 80A

Is that enough to install the speakers and sub to the amps? Also, can someone give me links and/or describe what tools I'll need to install all of this?

Also, do I need any special tools to install the Head Unit or the Speakers? The videos on Crutchfield talk about crimping a set of wires but do I NEED to do that in order to get it installed? I dont have a soldering kit either.
