Anyone know home security

easy way to tell.. a camera would need to be wired back to something (internet, computer, dvr unit etc) and a glass break sensor can be completely stand alone. (battery powered no cables coming from the unit, or 1 power cable)

also, you could bring a scrap peice of glass into one of the rooms, break it inside of a garbage can with a hammer and see if the sensor goes off.

if not, call the company and ***** that your sensors dont work cause you real world tested it

(i did this with my viper car alarm glass sensor, smashed a bottle in a garbage can inside my car, and it went off)

I'm pretty sure there is a glass break sensor, but I would put a lot of money these not being them. I bumped into a table at night once and the alarm went off. They are not anywhere near the windows.

CPI's surveillance cameras are all wireless and built into the (elaborate) alarm system as shown on their website. The best package CPI offers says you can have a maximum of 8 cameras. Guess how many there are? 8.

I'd put my money on them being streamed to the persons smart phone, receiving an alert whenever a camera turns on, as CPI states they have motion sensors.

your screwed anything you do to disable them will be caught on tape and since it's there home I would watch my p's & q's or you could do the mangina dance from silence of the lamb's while mouthing would you f*** me I would f*** me! into the camera and see if they leave you the f*** alone!

the device pictured is not likely to be a motion detector. PIR has a lens and Ultrasonic has two holes (emitter and receiver).

They make acoustic occupancy sensors that just have a mic. could also indicate glass breaking (an acoustic sensor with a bandpass filter). the red LED would indicate when sound is detected. any "laser" type would require another device on the other end (like a garage door safety sensor).

it's a darn funny shape for a camera, not likely.

if it is an alarm device, the cover is monitored. so by simply opening it up you trigger an alarm. this means it's not possible to see what it is.

looks like a camera to me,.. any in bathroom? lol... put peice of black tape over the holes, and see what happens... me personally im protected by glock so no need for any of that stuff in my house...
