Okay, Darren/Ladd/Whoever you are.....let me put it this way....

I ordered a set of rims online (the ones you see pictured mounted on my car in my avatar)

They aren't generic, no-name rims. They are Konigs.

They didn't come from an unknown source (such as yourself). They were bought through Discount Tire (a nationwide company with stores in several states) via their mail-order/internet sales division, Discount Tire Direct.

I got them in a wheels&tires package deal. I was charged for the wheels n tires. I was charged for the optional road hazard warranty I bought with them. I was charged for the Hunter Road Force wheel balancing. The package I bought included the hub centric rings, Gorilla-brand security lug nuts and the removal tool for them, and free shipping.

Would ya believe it.....as they were not being shipped to the state Discount Tire is based in I was not charged any sales tax? As Discount Tire has been in business since 1960 and only continues to grow I would imagine that their accounting department is probably more or less on the ball. Tax? On an internet sale? Huh? What are you talking about?

How is it that only in your county or city out of everywhere else in the country does things a bit differently????

Sorry for not replying to the others, Go-N-Def is the only one who seems to have a decent head on his shoulders, who looks at things with an open and justified mind. Sorry I don't have time to argue with the others about my "mispelled" words and trying to "over-analyse" breaking my sentences up into microscopic pieces of nothing.

I can promise you that Kenny was not charges sales tax because my company just decided to take advantage of Kenny that day. I would have to be pretty smart to know that he wasn't going to read "payment details" on the ebay auction. All of the other pieces of the puzzle happened because of some immaturity on my behalf and Kenny's (even though he'll never admit it). After everything was said and done, I tried to do what is right and this is why I asked Kenny everything I could do to satisfy him. He gave me those requests and gave me his word, I paid for a new kit and typed up the agreement he wanted and sent it to him and gave him the tracking#. After he recieved the tracking# he contacted me and said "now I want this and this and this" and you need to help my buddy Ernesto and allow him to swap his (1 year old) spinners for some new ones and some other crap. This is nothing new, and I should of known that I was dealing with a person who has not became a man yet, and thus the statement "a man is as good as his word" would mean not a **** thing to a kid!!

Please don't even include the word "pimp" and the picture of that hoopdy ride in the same sentence. I'm not even sure if I would trade a set of our rims for the full maroon car. I would try to respond to your emails, but I keep chuckling under my breath every time I respond to your emails and that car.

Yes - because this complete evasion has anything to do with what I asked you, Darren/Ladd.

Considering I wouldn't enter into a business transaction of any kind with you for any reason - ever - I guess we both make out on the winning end of this one, eh? Additionally - it isn't "maroon", pinhead....it is GM paint code 72U, specifically named Crimson Cloak Mica - the factory color for this particular car.

I've not emailed you once. Get it straight, fella. Again - because I choose to drive a cheap, older, economical car rather than splurging on something that will give me no better utilitarian value than what I have already you choose to bash me. Well, I reckon if I have to get hated on I would rather it be because of my car rather than because the general public thought i was a lying piece of trash, eh?
You still avoid actually answering my question. I wonder why that is????

You ride is still better than mine, im rocken the 14" ford escort hub caps nukka..

You say that the auction clearly states that sales tax is added to the purchase, but here is a link to the original auction that Kenny was using as a reference and it states:"Seller charges sales tax for items shipped to: UT (6.600%)."

It makes a much broader statement regarding sales tax down in the payment instructions.
Further more, none of your current auctions state anything about sales tax...
Care to explain?
Not in the actual listing but in the payment instructions you are asked to "Please add sales tax to your total." //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

My bad, I missed that.

So if my state hypothetically had no sales tax, I could add 0% to the price and still be covered?

Lets put this into real terms... Utah apparently uses 6.6%, Va uses 5%, Cali uses 8.5%... Which one do you go with???????

I understand the //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif in your post...

Well, with Darren/Ladd having a previously displayed propensity for adding on fraudulant charges to your credit card after the fact I'm not certain even a non-existant tax (yanno - like the one he charged to Kenny?) would deter him much. He'd simply make up some arbitrary number and hope you were none the wiser when you reconciled your bank book at the end of the month.

Maybe you just take the mean figure of all possible options?

I'm glad it wasn't a wasted effort to include it in my response then.

Completely o/t ~ how long ago were you in New South Wales?

A year or so ago...

So, I should take the percentage from all 50 states, add them together and then add that to the final price...

Of course, it says "Please" so I can say fuck the tax!!!

Maybe that's what he's wanting you to do? Who knows with this character...

Sortof like he did when he said "Phuck the law that says I can't charge fees waaayyyyy after the fact and the transaction should long be considered complete. And then (even though the sale didn't happen on eBay) I'll continually reference my eBay listings that make a mention of a sales tax while still remaining vague in its requests..."

If I bought from him, I say I did pay sales tax... To my state, like the law says!

I just want to explain my motive before I head off to school:

I wanted a nice set of rims with spinners cheap. I took the cheap way and found Ladd via eBay. He offered me $100 off my purchase if I went outside of eBay, so I handed him the credit card information. After he got the information the deal went sour, he shipped late, shipped the wrong style spinner, and because he had the information I just put up with it.

Near the end, I calmed him down because he realized the website that he said would never effect his business obviously did. I told him to send me what I wanted and I'd take the site down, which I still didn't recieve the lug kit, so I don't know why he's so angry that the site is still there.

As per request of the forum members that replied to this thread I said I'd keep the site up indefinitely even after recieving my lug kit, but if you advise against doing so I will gladly remove the website. I still don't think anyone should have to go through what I've been going through and I just used the same tricks to outsmart Ladd as he tried on me. I ultimately got Ladd crying over losing business and giving me the lug kit I wanted.

BTW Ladd: Only reason I said I wanted a kit for backup was because one lug snapped on me and I don't want it to happen again. I said it was my fault so I didn't have to argue with you, but when a screw/lug snap when you're changing a flat it would have to be the fault of the product.
