Anyone know a lawyer?

At the buisness I used to work at if we quoted someone a price without tax and they asked if that is all they had to pay and we agreed. Then thats all they had to pay.

We would never contact them and tell them that we made a mistake and would have to charge them more.

We would take it out of our profit or even take a loss..

I am really bothered that the cop had no interest in any of the other stuff Ladd has or could have going on. Especially all of the threats.

not to mention seemed he was more concerned with the herrassing emails ladd was getting.

LAD, LAD, Lad, You only should be charged sales tax if the item is bought in the state you live in.

If you read my earlier post, Utah law allows taxation on goods delivered to another state.

Where he is actually filing these or not is questionable. Him holding warranty hostage fortaxes is questionable. The constitutionality of that law is also questionable. I e-mailed several members of the utah legislature from work on thursday to see if there is such a law. I will post thier responses on tuesday.

Also guys, a lady who was ripped off by Ladd contacted me... told me he tried to same thing and that she contacted the manufacturer directly and got it settled. Since then Ladd hasn't been able to place orders with them. Ladd hasn't replied to any of my emails asking if I could get the lug or if my warranty was in place... and hell, I had a 100% satisfaction guarantee which Ladd told me "if I changed my mind about how I like them" he'd refund 100%... well, I found other rims that suit my car better... but surely enough Ladd is gone. Doesn't even answer his phones.

Kenny, I think they blocked your email address previously from all those emails. Also for some odd reason everytime I try calling your phones they hang up on me right when the line connects. I tried calling both numbers and my phone automatically disconnects when someone answers, who knows maybe the cops put some kind of block on thier. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I am sending your bolt and nut to you, I wasn't trying to dodge you, I've been out of town for business the last while. I was just hesitant about sending the bolt because of the way you approached me and said I sent you a defective item, when actually it wasn't broken when I sent it, only could be broken from someone screwing it on to tight and snapping it. I know they weren't defective because I'm the one who packaged each one and they were brand new. Eitherway, theirs no point of arguing, I just felt like if you would of just said "hey they put one of the bolts on and it snapped" then I would of sent you one with no problem. Its just that you and your mom called and said I was trying to sell you defective merchandise and approached me the wrong way. Anyways, my business partner was hesitant about sending you anything because we didn't know if you were disputing the sales tax on your order and this is why he didn't want to send the bolt. I told him we should probably send it eitherway to help you. Can you please email me at: wissy898@yahoo.com and let me know if you are still going to dispute the sales tax thing. I will have them send the bolt out ASAP eitherway to you. As far as the sales tax goes, I have officially told the company attorney's to leave me out of it and they will handle all of the court issues and things if it needs to go that far. Sounds good, please understand this has nothing to do with my descision but I think the attorney's already have the case together and are now just waiting on the card company to send us the papers showing the dispute. I guess we will see you in the Salt Lake Court soon, not really my choice or suggestion, its more the bigger boss. I will have them get the screw sent out. Sorry we couldn't be more of help to you.

IF you ever do get a summons to appear in Salt Lake City court, you could probably have a lawyer there appear on you behalf. I know some states allow that for out of state military members. Might work for you too...

I love how he now has a business partner and that when y'all were going round and round with e-mails, how he reffered to it as his business. When all is civil, he has a big boss...

Also, I guess the word has been getting out about him, hence the e-mail change...

Nobody ever got back to me from Utah, but my opinion from reading the code still stands. Not that I am a legal expert or anything. How constitutional it is, well who knows. I don't think any lawyer is going to spend their time over a case of a couple hundred bucks.

I also have found it strange that neither he nor a representative has contacted you from a real domain. as in not yahoo!, hotmail, etc. I would laugh at an attourney that attempted to contact me in such an unprofessional manner.

I know they weren't defective because I'm the one who packaged each one and they were brand new.

i could of swore he said in 1 of the many e-mails that he does not touch the product...they are shipped directly from the " warehouse"
