I think it's more lame that you care. Your friend is ignorant and is obviously happy with his purchase. Why not just be happy with yours and let it go?

I have had friends that love their setups and to me, they don't sound great and don't get loud. I'm never going to try to tell them that my stuff is better and louder because they're happy where they are. I will offer assistance to make their stuff sound better but why bother making them fell bad about something they enjoy?

My friends all smarter than that.

But I did meet a guy last week that thought his inverted 15" Audiobahn subwoofer in a sealed 1cube box hit 155dB. O ya, his amp was "3800watts" with 8 gauge wire running to it, "its ok to run 8 gauge cuz its one amp". He claimes to own several records across FL....I almost pissed my self laughing. He was a 9 year audio pro LOL.

PS: According to him, that sub is louder than both of mine, and my subs only need 200rms in a ported box LOL.

Lol, I'm not trying to say fosgate sucks, they are good yes. But its when you hear nothing but "this fosgate amp...those T1's...." it starts to get annoying fast.

I do agree the rockford subs are not that great..... and overpriced for what they are, but their amps (the power series at least) have been great to me so far...and yes- they are an over-hyped brand by those that are uneducated in car audio....
