Anyone have experience with this?

do a simple test for me.. find a song with a LONG bassline. say 3 or 4 seconds of bass. or you can use a test tone. play it. If your voltage drops initially but comes back up after a second or so you need a small cap bank. if it takes longer your alt is probably not a 250..
That I can do ... it will be tomorrow...LOL!.. Clock says 1:40 am... neighbors would LOVE that at this hour!

Unemployed? Go get a job instead of being on this forum.
Had a bad stroke... tried to go back to work and fell injuring myself further... got well then returned only to be fired ($1000/wk take home)... been rehabbing and living off savings... I'm almost ready but I had to learn to stand, walk, talk just to be released from the hospital. I now have half a brain alive and a case of undiagnosed torretts I'm dealing with... LOL!... maybe your right... LOL!.. this audio rehab is more expensive than a crack habit...

Oh man...didn't realize you were dealing with those things. My apologies.

I think, if I'm not mistaken, you can't get fired over health issues when you go back to work. That's just a game companies play to get rid of someone....a liability.

Yeah... I worked Trusses for 15 years then just got this job doing aluminum extrusions and had 11 months in when it happened... no FMLA for me!.. Life goes on... I'll find something eventually as the wife does work and I'm comin' along... heck, I built the system while I was severely disabled and it don't look too bad...

Update... shot a video at Walmart today and I've reevaluated my original question... looks like the voltage is OK after all... the idiot at the wheel is probably reading the darn thing wrong... a digital gauge is definitely in my future... LOL!.. Watch... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOUpKm_EynA ... Looks OK... right?

So you cheaped out on amps, alternator, battery (and what else? Come clean now) and you're going to try to cheap out again to fix this?

Good luck, bro. I've found it's way better to just do it right once.

Ummm if your going by your dash voltage gauge u got problems. If that gauge say 12v your prly 10v at the amp.... u need to get a voltage gauge and hook it up right at the amp power n ground terminals.
