Anyone fancy helping me - Hertz ML2500 10"

The sealed ML2500 way back in an FG box in my A4 Avant

True, the Hertz is a truly quality bit of kit. In the 0.5cu ft sealed box it really shone and kept my trunk space open for my bike and kids stuff.

However, being SVC 4ohm it was at its limit and my amps limit in the new car I have more space and I wanted to be able to get down to

It is for sale locally and at only £90 I have local Chavs wanting to give me £50 for it like the rest of the cheap crap on Craigslist

Box is out and under re-construction.

With the internal port out the volume is back up to about 34 L (1.2 cuft)

Got a new 4 post terminal plate, flushed it into the side

Soldered on the '8ga' power wire on, it's the same thickness as the new 12ga speaker wire

Made the new external port, tune is about 35Hz

It is a little, Re spec is 1.5cuft net for the 'compact' design and I'm more like 1.2

I will run it for a while like this, will be wired to 1ohm so amp spec is 900rms, no idea if it will actually do close to that.

Will see how the SXX and the amp (KAC9104D) play together.

I may have access to a Massive Audio P1500.1D if I do get hold of it I will see how that sounds, if it seems worth it I may then build another box with Re's other recommend size 1.9cuft net

First 1/2 hour out in the car with no kids...

The box is much flatter through the lows now, it feels louder and the (admittedly poor) IPhone dB meter has it up from 122 to 124.3 on the same extended note in the same track as before.

The plot from the box calculator app is in agreement, getting the 3L back and tuning a bit lower flattens it out.

I have also wired each VC to the speaker outs on the amp as the diagram below, I'm not sure if it's now loading the amp to 2ohm or 1ohm?

Should I bridge +ve to +ve and -ve to -ve to make sure it's parallel and presenting a 1ohm load?
