In cases like this the shipper is responsible. Working at UPS I know these things. bumpin_blazer needs to file a dispute with the shipping company and hope that he had insurance. The RIGHT thing to do would be to refund birsling his money back, file a dispute with the shipping company, and when they refund the value of the component set, that money is bumpin_blazers. What MOST people do is try to hang the buyer out there to dry by filing, and waiting on the refund before refunding the buyer. FYI if you ship through UPS you automatically have up to $100 insurances, to these should be covered no matter what. blazer should refund birsling, and file a claim. Simple as that. birsling shouldn't be charged anything more than what he has, and if blazer needs the speakers back, he needs to make arrangements for that. All this is on the side of the buyer, the seller has everything to gain in a case like this and the buyer wants nothing but the product he paid for. I'm not saying anybody is good or anybody is bad, just telling you how it goes. blazer was the seller, he had a responsibility to package the goods in a way so that they'd get there safely, and also arranged for shipping insurance. It's his responsibility. Want to save yourself some trouble, you ever sell anything, you package it to where you KNOW it wont get hurt unless they drop a 300 lbs steel beam on it. Just my input from being a part of the shipping industry.
