Any using or used Shallow mount subs?

Thanks!! And you probably missed it because of the title I gave it. Most builds here are pretty over the top when it comes to the bass. I just wanted good overall sound so I went conservative //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Honestly, I'm with you on that. I want a low end, but not looking to blow off my trunk or anything. I mostly listen to music at lower levels anymore (i'm getting old). I'm more interested in accurate bass than loud bass.

I will have to research the SQ slim subs. I'll have to say that although hated, my Ed Ov2's sounded very nice.

I am totally with you in this market (and the minority on this site) I would say if you can wait then check out the new offerings from Stereo Integrity. Or some other "relatively" shallow subs I can think of would be the Phoenix Gold RSD subs, Image Dynamics ID series are fairly shallow, JL W1's a hair over 5" mounting, and Treo SSi subs are pretty shallow. Of the shallows I hear mixed reviews but mostly it seems the Pioneer and the Kicker are at the top of the game when it comes to the current shallow offerings.

Congrats on the baby!

First off, thanks for the congrats //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It looks like a fair number of companies are going to be offering subs in the very near future.

I'm a patient guy so I can hold out for a bit. I figure I have about 7 months anyways before I really need more space.

Thanks again. I'm going to go check the ID series right now too.

if you like the EDs, why not look into a few 9kv.2s or 7kv.2s?

im looking for an 8 myself to fit under a seat in a liberty. prolly under .5 cudes
I put a single 8" Shallow Pioneer in a custom .23 cuft box under the front seat of my Nissan Frontier PU.

I'm happy with it. That sub only requires 2.5" depth to mount. If you have 3 1/4" to work with, you can probobly stuff it in there.
