Any Good Box Builders Help!

well i still have my type r 15 laying around, so i would like to build a large ported box that i could throw in for the odd spl competition, who knows how big the ported box should be for my 15, i also need portlength and tuning etc....dual 4 ohm coils and 1060 watts to it...

have you checked alpine's site for specs, i can suggest a box but it is a very common box used with DD's, shockers and other spl subs

well alpine gives no ported box specs, i will ask loyd

you need to now how many qu.ft is needed inside the box for good sound. go to the website of you speakers brand and find out how big off boxes need to be.

Building boxes

Buy particel board 1inch thick the particel board looks like sawdust glued together.

use 5/8 screws to screw the boxes together and seal the boxes inside and out with apoxy resen.

use template to cut right size holes in box.

this is a good way to build your own boxes but it will take time and less money then buying boxes from the store.

if you build your own boxes use pvc pipe for ported box

F U C K you guys, i already know what to use to build a box....i can build the sealed box for my sub with my eyes closed, but alpine gives no ported box specs yet they say it can be used for ported....
