if ur looking for stuff like bags and shoes look online.....since you paid 140 for shoes without interchangeable soles im going to assume you bought them from a pro shop....just went to blockbusterbowling.com and bought the dyno thane tour ultra....retails for roughly 230 (i think) i got them for 149 shipped....
when it comes to balls id still buy them from pro shops....if you buy them online most pro shops will still charge 50 bucks to drill so it pretty much evens out the price...plus when you get it online sometimes you get screwed on pin placement....

yeah, i didn't start buying online until my lanehawk, and i wish i would've known about it back then.

My highest game was a 276 in a league a few years ago.

My avg was 188

I want to get into another league this winter...

Bowled for 2 years...Did a couple leagues, and glow bowl every friday night...thankfully the owner of the bowling alley was so kind to pay for me or else I would have never picked up the game.

Never really had a lot of $$$ so I used house shoes, a hand me down ball from my very thoughtful buddy...it was a 14 pounder with a fair amount of hook 2 it, and my spare ball was a 10 pound house ball that I liked so much I bought of the owner of the bowling alley.

High game 292...average on league was 212...and I threw 13 strikes in a row over a 2 game period during glow bowl.

I remember those days. I kinda miss it actually. Just dont have the time nor the funds to do that. I may end up joining a fall league here soon. It will cost 75 to get in and 12 a week. So I might be able to do that. Then again pends the time thing. Dont start till 1000pm. So we will see.

Also I have been bowling on and off for the better part of 16 years and I my best season average was a 237 and my high game was 287. Thats right, still have yet to get a 300. I have hit the 800 mark though. Got me a shit ton of trophies, and watches and all kinds of nic knacks from over the years. I at one time thought about pursing it as a career, lol!

That was one of my respones in the one thread he put up. Was awhile ago, lol! ok, so you avg. 237 on a league? how long was the league and what were ur other avgs in other leagues?

i mean either it was a very very simple shot or ur stupid for not at least making spare cash bowling in some amateur tournaments..... i mean i avg 215 and at least make some extra cash every week winning brackets, jackpots and what not.....

The leagues where during the fall months and lasted till early spring. I usually only would do one league at a time and was a team league with 4 of us, usually all my friends. We did have cash prizes weekly and all that jazz. Then at the end of the year we would get most of our money back and trophies and shit like that. Was just your average get together with your friends and play a bunch of other teams that were old as sin. I was in competitive junior leagues back in my hayday when I was in early teens. Those were days where it makes you miss the fun aspect of the game cause it was so competitive and made me think, well I am not good enough to do this for a career. Did that till I was 16 or 17 and quit and stuck with the old timers for shit and giggles.

im saying 237 is like pba tour status......im saying ur stupid for not bowling in some tournaments on the weekends for some extra dough....not sure when ur "hayday" was but hell you avg 230 now and im talking for 100 dollar entry youre talking 1500-5000 dollars for 1st place......not to mention the thousands you can win in brackets.....you should consider it......

ive got a friend on the tour now that avg 240 on leagues i bowled with him and hes making 6 figures on tour.......

theres so many different variables in bowling also so i mean one guy can avg 230 in one place and 190 in another......hence my comment of it was either a very easy house or again you should consider getting back into it..... or i call bs lol you make the call!! just busting ur balls
