i just thought of something, i probably have more money in my bowling equipment than my entire system....... just spent more on bowling shoes than my front stage!!

any avid bowlers on the forum? what equipment do you have and how much have you spent on it?

I have bowled alot more than I have played with car audio.

IDK how much I've spent but I've lost alot of interest in bowling in the past years.

I have a Cuda C/2000 lol and a TiBossII and a few other balls that I lost since I have stopped caring about the sport that I literally loved more than any other :p

i used to be into bowling a lot, but i've been working so much over the past year i can't really take it as seriously as i did over the last couple years.

high game: 290(x3)

high series: 795

only split not picked up: 5-7-10

sanctioned average: 202

equipment used:

Heavy Oil: Ebonite Big Time ($3xx)

Medium Oil: Brunswick Power Groove Reactive Pearl ($200)

Very Light Oil/Spareball: Lanehawk Clear Ball ($130)

other balls i've had: Brunswick TimeZone($200), Absolute Inferno($250ish i think, i bought that one a long time ago)

Shoes: Dexter Kurt($140)(getting ready to move up to interchangable soles)

Four ball roller($250)

so i've spent around 1500 on equipment, and probably more than that on league fees and bowling fees lol

lol i read it wrongi thouhgt you said BLOWERS...

i was like wtf!?
funny thing is my mom bought me a gold charm for my necklace when i was in high school.....one said #1 bowler on it......everyone used to look and it at first glance go why does ur chain say #1 blower lol

cuda c lol the old ceramic core....yep its been a while since youve picked up a ball hasnt it ha ha

Does bowling on the Nintendo Wii count? If so I'm a **** good bowler! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But yeah, I used to enjoy bowling when I was younger..was never big into it, specially now that my back is messed up. I really enjoy watching good bowlers bowl in person though, it's fun to watch such a skill.

My high game was a 297 using a roto grip retro. I got a few other balls that I cant really remember (messngerti's, gargoyle, .....) Shoes were $30 at walmart //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif havent been a serious bowler in a long time.

yeah i saw those....those are all pretty much old threads....i know how people tend to get their panties in a bunch sometimes when you bump really old threads....plus i was interested in seeing how much people have invested in the sport....some of those are just guys that bowl not necessarily avid bowlers....

alot of ur avid bowler bowl on 4 or 5 leagues a week.....pretty expensive sport considering most of ur league dues these days can be anywhere from 10-30 bucks a week.....not including brackets and jackpots you can get into.....

yeah its been a while but I know these balls and they havent declined in quality or anything like that, they are just a few years older than the norm.

My favorite ball was my Quantum Sage I think it was (maybe Forest?), too bad it wasnt pearl, it went down the lanes like 3 feet and then began to move if it wasnt soaked on the fronts, .

I've done two 277's unsanctioned, 276 sanctioned and never hit a 700, consistency was NOT my strong point.

apparently not lol. i remember when i threw my 795, my first two games were 258. in my third game i went the first four, then left a ringing ten, then finished off with a 279. looking back on it, once i realized i couldn't hit 800series or 300game in the fifth frame of the last game, i should've thrown off another later frame and tried to leave a 10pin, so i could get a triplicate 258.

and i've still never bowled a dutch 200, and i want to so bad just so i can say i did. one of these days //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

yeah those quantums were ridiculous in both price and reaction....still 10 yrs later there arent many balls on the rack priced that high.....theyve definately improved the technology on pearl balls so you dont see many people still throwing dull stuff....

honestly i love my older stuff alot better then some of the new.....i think alot of people feel that way because alot of companies started remanufacturing some of their old balls.....i think the cuda was one of them.....

if ur looking for stuff like bags and shoes look online.....since you paid 140 for shoes without interchangeable soles im going to assume you bought them from a pro shop....just went to blockbusterbowling.com and bought the dyno thane tour ultra....retails for roughly 230 (i think) i got them for 149 shipped....

when it comes to balls id still buy them from pro shops....if you buy them online most pro shops will still charge 50 bucks to drill so it pretty much evens out the price...plus when you get it online sometimes you get screwed on pin placement....

i order all my bowling equipment online, my pro shop guy knows the deal, he charges me 30 bucks to drill with inserts, plus where i order from i can request pin placement and a specific top weight.

as for what i'm using, i'm using ebonite nvs, total nv, angular one, infinate one, the one, and a white dot for spares. currently avg a 190.
