i cant shot spares with plastic balls...my game involves hooking the ball whether its for a strike or for a spare. My 10 game revolves around almost missing the 10 pin because i hook it but i pick it up the majority of the time although it looks like it wont.

you get a plastic ball and learn to shoot spares with it and honestly it makes bowling a heck of alot easier.....when you hook at spares you gotta think about it just like you would ur strike ball.....you gotta figure where the oil is, revs, mark to hit....with a plastic ball it doesnt matter (for the most part) when i finally made the jump from hooking to going straight at spares my avg went up 15 pins in about 3 months.....that is if ur approach and release are consistent, it takes alot of guesswork out of spares.....

I bowl 3 times a week. Average is 195, lol.

Gots me a Black widow (reg, not pearl), Raw hammer doom, a plastic ball, a big hit, and just ordered a Track Kinetic, should be in friday or so, can't wait.

Meh, I'm right handed, and I can make 10pins easy with the plastic ball. Lately my coach has had my throwing it for the 7 pin too, and its helped a bit

yeah i know what you mean on that one. I personally just dont bowl like that. i do good for the way I bowl, it just sucks when i go to other houses for tournaments, because i have to test different lines for my spare shots

exactly my point.....with a plastic ball no matter where you bowl the spare line will be the same!

i can get my line, its not a challenge. im just saying during shadow balls i have to practice spare shots with a rememberance of the line

and avg 213 and 217 at the moment.... and have been missing alot of spares lol my plastic ball broke at the beginning of the season and havent replaced it yet....

I dont use a plastic spare ball for spares. I use my normal ball for all spares.

i prefer not to. looks bad to the public when a mechanic or pinchaser comes up dirty. i try to keep em clean as possable. (a clean machine is a happy machine) that and allways wash my hands before i come up. it seems like everytime i go up front for whatever reason, i get stuck helping someone up on the counter.

Thats cool! Least you go about your profession in a more business like manner. Some of the mechanics and pin chasers I have seen look like they are a seriel Killer of some sort, lol! Props to you.
