another sundown vs aq thread?

Well I just ordered the 1200D $125 was hard to beat
x2 there were 16 just now.. I bought 2 for 265$ shipped. Less than 1 of their 1500s and the 1200s should put out over 1400 on 14+ volts each. Cant wait.

Edit: Yeah forgot need a maxxlink thats what 100+$ but should be at 2500+ easy

does it really take 7-10 days for it to ship out?
That was one of my main concerns but someone earlier stated that he had his in a week. Once they're ordered the guy has to repair the amp, then send it out. lol as many that are being bought up, he's going to be repairing for a long time. So yeah, 7-10 days prolly at best.

I'd go with whichever is cheaper, I seriously doubt you'd be able to tell a difference between the two.
AQ; their basically the same thing; they have their own subtle differences but as far as performance; you wont be able to tell the difference between the two; i have a 1200d and love it; i was gonna get a sundownz but their just to expensive; AQ is where its at

if you could strap them without the maxx link it would be a really good deal but if you get 2 of the 1200's for like 260 shipped plus 100 for the max link you might as well just buy the 1500 for 350. i think jacob said it did what 2400? or was it 2000?

This really irritates me when people go talking about something they know nothing about....

The design and parts that are in the AQ1200D are similar to the Sundown SAZ-1000D, NOT the SAE-1200D. Totally different design, much more power output.

Sundown recently posted a test with the following results:

@ 1 ohm - SAZ-1000D = 1040 watts (which would be like the AQ1200D)

@ 1 ohm - SAE-1200D = 1770 watts (blew fuses at that point)

The AQ amp likely uses IRF640 and IRF9640 outputs, which are great, but this is a design that uses N and P Channel mosfets. The SAE-1200D only uses N Channel outputs, Fairchild FDA59N25, we replace with IRFP360LC like in the SAZ-3000D or SAZ-3500D and 1000 other Korean made big class D amps out there use IMO the IRF parts are better. On the power supply side the AQ1200D uses like 8 IRF3205 or something similar to that, and the SAE-1200D uses 12 IRF3205. The SAZ-1000D uses 8 DFP70N06 which are similar to what's in the AQ1200D if not the exact same.
