Im on a budget.

The audioque is only 10$ more than the autotek.

Autotek 1500D

Its now down to these two.

I just bought a Mach 5 IXL 12" and here are the specs on that

So which would you buy?? thanks guys. Last thread about amps lol. Cant wait to have a system goin, been waiting 5 years for one.

i like AQ amps. DJ got great service.

my friends has 2 Autotek 4000's and he loves them.

wait. i just check the link for the Autotek. those are the newer ones. not sure how they do.

everyone likes the aq. i have never used it, so i can't comment. if the autotek is anything like their older silver ones then it should do rated. i had a mm1000.1d and it was great. just waiting on my sundown now

I vote Autotek, great amps for the money. Here's a gut shot from one of mine.

LOL at how the guy describes the Autotek.

I think you are likely to find similar power output from both of these amps, around 1000-1200 watts @ 1 ohm on an average 12 volt setup.

However, being that Autotek is not supposed to be sold online but by a few people (that I am aware of) buy your audioque direct from audioque or an authorized dealer to make sure you get a warranty. I'd go with the Audioque for that reason, nothing against Autotek just online sellers who may not be authorized and have to warranty their own products, even though they are new, no factory warranty without a receipt from an authorized sales outlet.

Super Class D = Class D is Super. There is no super class D, it's just Class D.

Multiple mosfets in the power supply = ALL amplifiers. The way an amplifier power supply works it must have at least 2 mosfets, or one mosfet that has 4 or 5 legs so that it can have 2 drains so be able to work with the power supply transformers.

More efficient = no. Bunch of marketing hoo-ha. All Class D's are efficient, some more than others but the difference is nill. Not enough to be usable for performance gains.

Like I stated, nothing against Autotek. They make great amps (maxxsonics=autotek, crunch, HiFonics, and MB Quart) for reasonable prices, however most are rated at 14.4V or something because I have trouble squeezing rated power out of them at 12V. BUT they are only overrated by maybe 20% or so which isn't bad especially considering the price. But unless you can get a good deal for your money (since your on a budget) from an Authorized dealer of Autotek, I would go with an Audioque.

I think im going to buy the audioQue then in a few hours, Going to wait a little while to make sure i dont hear any "DONT BUY AUTIOQUE" thing in this thread.

If all is good ill order

Audioque is a good choice.. I know of many people that ran the 1200 and 2200 with no problems. I would just order it now
sold.

buying now.

lol this is so far over my budget, i had like 500$ for the whole deal.

so far i have a sub and will have this amp for 450$.

I still need to buy wiring, dont have a clue what to buy but im guessing 80$

still need a box im guessing 100$ (dont know how to make one and not sure if i trust friends to)

and i still need to install, dont think i trust friends for that either, so another 100$.

total it will be like 750$+

Trust me we all were in the same spot at one point. and all ended up paying more than we wanted too. You will be happy with your set up in the end and be glad you spent the money.

You get what you pay for. It will be worth it in the end. The extra $250-$300 will mean nothing in about 6 months.
exactly why im doing this.

I know the set up is going to kick ***, and be one of the best i possibly could for the amount i spent.
