Check out Akrapovic. I know they have a shorty can for the k6-k7, and I'm assuming they have one for the k8 600's.....Pretty much the same bike. I'd put one on my bike, but I'm fine with the stock pipe on the k6-k7. That, and I'm going to need some new rubber sometime this summer, so I've gotta save some $$$.

yeah i really like the one that came in the 07-06. i dont know why they changed it on the 08 it would look alot better if it had the same pipe as a 07.

imo, go with at least a 600. they are still fuel efficient, have low insurance, and are fast as hell. I personally think 250's are more for people who just want to "look" like they have a fast bike idk though. I want my first bike to be either an R1, a GSX-R 1000 or a busa so...

For my senior project I rebuilt and restored a 83 honda vt 500 ascot.
Basically about the same acceleration as a ninja 250, but with about 30 mph more on the top end of things (about 120mph is as fast as it goes, according to my dad, the original owner). Gets about 50-55mpg, 2 gallon tank.

Definately going to go with a CBR600 or Interceptor 750 if I continue riding. I really like Honda's.

That's a really cool bike. Not over the top badass but clean and somewhat unique compared to all the kawasakis and shit on the road. I would love to own one of those...

I can't wait untill you wad your kewl knew bike because you want to look kewl. I Have a lot of respect for guys that have the balls to start on a 250. It's not the cool thing to do, but it's the right way to do it. You'll learn alot more, and be a better rider because of it. That's how most actual riders look at it as well. And honestly, we couldn't care less what you think.....Because you aren't a motorcycle rider.

I never said 600's were "poser super slow bikes" I actually said in my first post on that topic that they were fast as hell, and in another that they were awesome.

second: thats actually a sweet bike, I'm a big fan of suzuki and yamaha.

anyway... I love the look of busa's and would love to have one someday, but I really don't think I'd ever actually have something like that for my first bike. I'm a cheapass, and would only want to have to buy one bike (which is why I'd want a 1000+ right away) but I think I'd be much better off starting with a smaller bike or I would end up like konechiwa's pic.
