edit: oops i was off a lil... i went 125 in 5.8 secs lol
nice false start. unless your drag tickets are different...?

well, your guys motors were probably all of about 20 times the size of his.. Most cars can pretty well break 100 fairly easy. I'm sure wind resistance holds that little 1/4 liter motor in check.
lol. yea I know, but it was still pretty funny to out run a "rocket" in a v6 cutlass.

I have 8 times more motor than my buddies cbr600, but I guarantee he would still OWN me in a race.

I'm wanting to buy a bike this summer, and I was considering the 08 250R. I'm still debating on that whole 250 thing though. The extra power of a 600cc would come in handy on the highway, but that's about it. Other than that I think a 250 would be sufficient in town, at least for me. I don't need to do 90mph+ in a block.

imo, go with at least a 600. they are still fuel efficient, have low insurance, and are fast as hell. I personally think 250's are more for people who just want to "look" like they have a fast bike idk though. I want my first bike to be either an R1, a GSX-R 1000 or a busa so...

If I get a 600 I'm thinking along the lines of a suzuki SV650.

I see no point in getting something like a busa for a first bike though. IMO that'd be more of a poser move than someone who buys a 250.

why's that a poser bike? I like the fact that it's fast, but I think its one of the nicest looking bikes out there.

Re-read, I said poser MOVE, not bike.
1000cc for a first bike //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
gotcha, Technically the r1 is only 998cc, and the gixxer is only a 999 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif.

I'm a go big or go home kind of guy I guess. I wouldn't want to settle for some little bike to learn on cuz I know I'd want something bigger and faster later.

I'm the same way with my car, I could have done all kinds of little stuff right away, but I'm going big right off the bat.

I got a gixxer 750 as my first bike and its been good to me but I need to move up to a newer 1000 so if anyone is looking for a 99'750 red/blk let me know......IMO its a better starter bike than any 600cc....you will want more power and will get tired of the 600....750 will give you a better feel for a fast bike for when your ready for a 1000-1300....
