Another, "which will be louder" thread. Simple ? though

uh should be the same theoritically(sp?). but I would say the ported 15 has the ability to get louder and if done right can sound just as good.

tuning freq doesnt matter as far as whats louder. its in port area box size and other things liek box placement. what car sub and port placement on the box lots of different things.

True^^^^(blunt). I believe you'll be happier with 2 15" sealed though, you'll get your loudness and have a nice flat response with a solid low extension. Plus, if you ever decide to go ported, it's like 40 bucks to build a box.

Well my maximum area can be 4 cubic ft. Jellyfish420 is helping me with box plans and he seems to know what he's doing. I only asked the question because I would hate for him to waist his time if two 15's sealed would get louder.

Thank you guys for all the quick replies.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

size matters too... do yourself a favor and download winISD...http://www.linearteam.dk/default.aspx?pageid=winisdpro

You can graph out both options and see how they compare in general.
I've tried winISD before but I can't really understand what I'm looking at. I know, call me dumb but some things I'm smart at and some things I'm not.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

30' vs. 15'...... hum
15 feet vs 30 feet? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Just because he'll have twice the subs doesnt mean it will be louder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.
