Got the wood cut today but no pics yet. Here is a SketchUp.

External Dimensions: 37 wide x 17 x 19.25. Going in the back seat area of my F-150. Taking up 60% of the width of the back seat.

Sub and port firing up. Sub on driver's side. Front overhang is to make the box sit level as the rear of the box will sit on the iron feet of the seat frame. Bolting the rear of the box to these feet.

The part of the rear seat where the box is going will be folded up. One part is higher on the front overhang to accommodate the hump in the middle of the floor.

whats the stuff on the back of the box, an amprack or something?
I added some to my original post right as you were posting that explained some of it.

It is actually the lower part of the front. I just have the box flipped around so you can see the more interesting bits.

The kx2500.1 will sit under the box behind that front overhang.

Got to buildin' today. No screws. Just glue.

That leaves me the support pieces for the overhang and the dowels inside for tomorrow.

Now I just need to order the sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

why the overlap of the top and bottom on the front of the box?

looks very good, though. can't wait to see it installed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

^i asked about sub placement in a thread not too long ago and everyone told me it doesn't matter where it goes on the baffle....
It's not going to make night and day difference. But if positioned on the opposite end that is now... it'll give the air no choice other than exitting out the port. How it is now... it's a little different.

2 points for teaching me something I didn't know. Thanks nG.

I think the piece of wood that is the right side of the box in the bottom pic was 1/8th of an inch too short. I found this out after it was already glued and clamped. So, I just made the front face recessed a little bit. Actually looks sorta cool.
