another blown sub ????

It is possible that the sub was just a lemon, other explinations would be that the amps gain is low but the HU ouput is very high and your still getting a lot of clipping, or that the new ground is bad and causing the amp to distort for various reasons, or if you threw it in and just started jamming it, it may have had transient shock, or even if the new subwoofer required more space in the enclosure and you just used the same one the volume contraints did it in. If you give us a little more info we might can narrow it down for ya. What kind of sub was it?
Right or not none of this would cause his problem, if you're blowing equipment like this then stop buying Duals.

He has a Memphis....

I want to ask exactly where the gain is. It is hard to tell from the picture. You mentioned that it was not up very far, however it looks like its about 3/4 of the rotation? Do you have it a little backed off from Max, or a little up from Min? Also, is there by any chance a high/low switch from the input, some amps have them and I can't really see one, but just a thought

So your saying the reason this is happening is because the sub is a dvc and not a svc????? The week prior to this I had a dvc 4 at 600rms in this amp wasn't very loud but it worked non the less until I got my new sub.

So as u can see I'm running out if options all I want is the setup to function properly.

?? The box is to small ?? The shop that sold me the sub said that box would work? I still don't understand how it's dying at the break in Point of the install????

A little up from min. And no high low switch either on one side it's just the power and speaker terminals on the other it's the settings and the RCA and remote inputs

Memphis m5 = good or bad

Honestly I have not had any real experience with Memphis, but a few buddies of mine seem to like them. I don't think the box is the issue as it is a decently sized box, assuming I am thinking of the right one. I did notice in you picutre that when you had the meter on the voice coils you had OL, which is fine at first but it should give you an actualy Ohm rating after a moment, were you getting 2 ohms from the meter?

I was wen i first wired them in and now No this was another issue that occurd this morning the speaker is blown for sure but with that being said the ohms should be going up an down and it wasnt its not giving me a reading at all this is another thing that confused me ???

Thanx
