I have an Alpine 9835, 5/14 MB Quart components in the front, JL Audio E4300 amp, JL audio 10 inch sub. When I first had it installed there was a high pitched hum coming from speakers when I accelerated. I took it back to where I had it installed and they took care of the problem. This was 3 months ago. The other day I had a Sirus connect tuner hooked up directly to my Alpine head unit. The high pitched hum is now back when I accelerate; most noticeable when in Sirius mode, but if I accelerate with the volume turned down in any mode (Tuner and CD) I hear the high pitched hum. I took it back and they said it was a bad AI-Net cable.
Now the problem is a lot better--maybe 90% but it is still there, and annoying the heck out of me. The shop that installed evertything , Al & Ed's, seems to rush everything since they are so busy--so now that I have to take it back a second time, I want to be equipped with more knowledge. What should I tell them to check? Is there anything I can do to eradicate this problem. It is most noticeable when I listen to Sirius talk stations--with music on, you can't hear it--it gets drowned out. So what to do? I've spent $1400 and have a pit it my stomach because when you spend that kind of money you want ot to be perfect, and it's not. Any ideas?
