An Idea for my new Setup

So I am looking at just going budget with sub and new box I am thinking about running two Memphis PR SVC 4 ohm wiring them to 2 ohm together with my TXI7508 Hifonics amp witch will give each sub about 250 each witch is what they call for or getting two DVC 4 ohm wiring them to one and giving like 375 each. I was wondering if these memphis subs can take that much over their suggested RMS. The reason im looking at the Memphis PR is that my friend got his brothers after he ran it for 6 years and ran it for another two before it blew thats 8 years on one sub in two different cars and I am looking for some Realiabiliy. also what will the loudness and Sq compared to my Type R in a 1.75 box. And also (sorry for long thread) should I go ported or sealed.

PR's would be a waste of money, m class or another brand.

1.75 was too small for the type R anyway. an mtx 7500 would fit in 1.75 nicely. alot of subs perform well in 1.75. just not the type R. imo.
