An Electrical Engineering Degree

broad question don't you think? you can be anything you want to be.
well I'm just asking what kinda things I could do with that degree, like a Kinesiology degree can get me into athletic training or physical therapy, but where could I work and what could i do with an electrical engineering degree?

I will be going to LSU so I'm pretty sure that's considered a decent school. Would I be able to someway incorporate my engineering degree into automotive?
I would image that an Electronic engineering degree would be more suited to the Automotive industry. Maybe an electrical engineering degree would get you working on hybrid cars or alternator designs.

If you want to do automotive type stuff, go into mech engineering. Don't take basic calculus/physics lightly. That is what doomed me

The two programs offered are Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering that would be relevant to what I want to do. I want to do something along the line of automotive electronics if I decide to go that route instead of Kinesiology.

I've also loved physics, calc.. not so much.

i always thought electrical engineers were more the type of guys that work with the city electrical systems. like large scale systems, and a electronic engineer
no, the job spectrum is infinate. Problem is, once you get the degree that just opens the door for you to get a low paying job. Experience in the field is worth more than a degree. I don't have an EE degree but I can run circles around them because i've got tons of in field experience that you can't learn in a book.

I was going to major in Digital Electronics, you know, circuit boards and the like, but the pay for starting out in that field is truly shit so I went into the software side of things...good choice as IT/Software Development pays good money. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I'm sure LSU is a great school overall, but I don't think there engineering program is even in the top 100 in the country.
