amplifier freq level

the lpf filters out high frequencies from the sub. this helps to reduce localization of the subwoofer, which helps the up front bass effect. lower frequencies are more difficult to localize. the filters also help to level the frequency response of your system by blending output limits of the subwoofer with the midrange speakers. 80hz is a good starting point of most systems for lpf for subs. start there and increase or decrease while listening to your system.

RE Audio SEX12d4 12 in dvc4 at 600rms for 149.95 each with free shipping on e-bay. RE subs are pretty good for the bang for the buck..My opinion of course.Hope you find your needs
