But if you want any help, you are going to have to give us details. What amplifier do you have? What speakers are connected to it? When does the amplifier go into protection mode?

Speaker watts and ohms? And what is the spec for your amp? Match both of them would be nice.

When ? I can answer that. Few seconds after engine turn on. Because it goes to full power on AMP use. One problem, all the speakers driver and ohms are on low ohms or not enough watts Power to go with the AMP. Full force means shut down.

Class D power amplifier from Walmart. Jensen. 1200 watts max peak and RMS is a little lower. 4 ohms. Car amplifier. $112 dollars. It was a little too expensive. I’m making another music box. While fixing the one I’ve made. I have no car to work on. So doing this instead and might buy one car amplifier is eBay sells it cheaper.

Common culprits are- bad ground, bad contact at battery fuse or terminal, and low speaker impedance.
