Hello, just replaced HU and speakers with Alpines ktp-445u power pack amp in a Ford Explorer and have a dumb question. Everything sounds okay, but I used the RCA jack harness included with the amp to the HU and capped off the speaker outputs from the HU. Should the speaker wires from the amp be spliced to the HU speaker wires? I assume the RCAs from the HU are signal only, with no output from the internal amp? The manual is unclear but the RCAs can cut off and wired direct to the HUs speaker wires. Would that option given me more power by combining the amps? Yes, I'm an obvious novice, but would rather not screw something up if I dont understand it.

Thanks!

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
