thanks man... i got some 0/1 gauge for it and was wondering if it was an overkill since i overpaid for it. also, what kind of wires would i need for the big 3 upgrade. Posting this some where else some guy was arguing that the big 3 is useless without a alternator upgrade. So is the big 3 worth it? i was thinking since i have a honda civic dx that they would use the cheapest of the smallest wires that could just work... meh.... thoughts?
Upgrading the big three will make your stock alternator as efficient as possible. However I don't know if a civic alt is going to be up to the task of suppporting a 1200.1. My Civic Si seemed to be stressed running the air conditioning and headlights.
if you have 1/0 guage wiring, you should use it. Big 3 would help (use 1/0 guage as well), but as mentioned above, a civic's alternator might have a hard time keeping up with that amp.
i see. Im trying to contact that sir from excessive amperage and get a alternator kit or just a big magnet for the alternator which would double the amp rating and then getting an optima 51r yellow top battery. And then getting the big three done. and just to ask again, all i need is 0/1 gauge wiring? ground or power wiring or better question is there a difference?
hahaha SSS 18734 i remember some kid at my school had the wagon taurus with fake flame exhausts coming from out the sides and plastic spinners. Well guess who got the girls? the guy in the porsche or the guy in the taurus... well it was the porche but that taurus was a stapple at my school.
