I am wondering what i need to get the full potential out of an Orion 2500D.. I am going to hook it up to 2 alpine type x's will that be enough power?

supply the amp with a constant 14 volts, and run it at 1 ohm. your question is vague. if you are talking about electrical, then do an HO alt, big 3, and large wiring and good grounds.

2500D does full power @ .35ohms, and pulls 290A max.

Would this be a good amp to go with 2 12 inch type xs or are there better ones out there for the same price with more wattage..I know what the big 3 is but dont most cars already have that?

ummm not really. obviously you have to have the wires so the car will run but you want to upgrade to larger wire. search big 3 it's beens discussed over and over and then some.

if they are dual 4 ohm then yes.

Also if you run two batteries it will put less of a strain on your alt.

could you explain that a little more. the websiteand orion says 2500 @1 ohm at 13.8v, but doesn't say the amp draw. i have ran mine at .5 ohm (before independent rise and such) at about 13.6 with no prob but dont know the output.
