Amp Wiring Kit

I just bought a set of Phoenix Gold RSd 65cs component speakers and a Sundown SAX 100.2 to power them. My question is what size of wire should I use? ie speaker/power wire.

System:

SUB- ICON 15"

SUB AMP- Sundown SAE 1000d

HEAD UNIT- Kenwood KDC X991

This is what I have installed already.

16 gauge is fine for the comps

im doing the same thing, my question is, is it ok to run bigger wire or will that hurt??
