Hey guys thank you in advance for all the help, I am starting to wire my system tomorrow and I don't want to mess this up. I am VERY NOVICE I have a 300C SRT and I am hoping to get the best sound, least noise, and clean as possible!
I am getting some conflicting stories about using or not the SP4-SL that I have and how to wire up the ZAPCO DC650.
Here is what I have for equipment - from the STOCK HU (using a PAC LOC) I have a front and rear RCAS FULL RANGE out.
1. Zapco SP4-SL 4 band EQ with FR RR Fad / Bass volume /4 band eq
2. Zapco DRC amplifier controller wired to the front of the cabin
3. I have 2 Symbilink cables to the back (din to din 18 Feet thanks Rob!) and I have one RCA to DIN Symbilink transmitter
4. Zapco DC 650 Amplifier
5. Front stage Dynaudio 360 set Passive (7", 4", 1.1"). I was hoping to run that bridged on channels 1-4 getting me the max power from the amp
6. I have 2 Image Dynamics ID10 DUAL 2 OHM in a infinite baffle rear deck (pics) so I dont need much sub power at all...
I have been told by some that I should NOT use the SP4-SL eq and that I should. I thought I would use it because of the FADER and Sub volume control and it would act as my transmitter with RCA from the deck one input left and right then out 2 Symbilink cables out (front and sub) to the amps.
The person that said don't use it I highly respect from the forum, and knows his zapco... He said just run one SYMBILINK from the Deck RCA to the amp and it will sum all channels and run off that one cable. Others say use it, for the easy control, the fader and sub volume? I heard also that if I dont use 2 Symb cables that I will not get any control of all the channels of the amp like I would need?
SO USE IT OR LOSE IT??? If you have any suggestions at all I would greatly appreciate it!
