Yeah I seen they were Lanzar as I was going to bed last night. So with the 2" coil and price point I'd say realistically the coils will handle about 300 watts real world RMS each, maybe 350-400 depending on type of music being played. A 1000w amp is about right for a pair of them with a little headroom, and make sure it is tuned right.
The size of the voice coil doesn't mean everything, but does help indicate a maximum power that they can take, and being lower on the totem pole I would say these are at the bottom side of the coil handling power. I'm not dissing the Lanzar brand, I've used tons of cheap stuff over the years, more so saying to consider the coil size and the sub it's in when choosing an amplifier.
A Sundown 2" coil and motor cooling would typically be considered fairly decent for what it is right? But even that would be limited to the 400w range or so per sub. (Sundown 2" coil subs are rated at 300 RMS, and sure you can push them a little, but they are still limited and I would not go past about 400w or they will probably start to stink). Where does that put Lanzar in the equation, I don't know, but I would still stick to this power range.
