Amp to subs

If my amp does 1250x1 at 2ohms and i wanted to run two subs they would need to be 2ohms right if not 4ohms and how would i wire this

Either

Two single 4 ohm voice coil subs wired in parallel at the amp

or

Two dual 2ohm voice coil subs with the voice coils in each sub wired in series and the two subs wired in parallel at the amp

or

Two quad 1ohm voice coil subs with the voice coils in each sub wired in series and the two subs wired in parallel at the amp
