Amp to power kappa 1200w

Hi everybody, I'm new here, I've done some searches and have been having some troubles.

Anyhow, I'm in the process of a complete stereo replacement in my focus mk3, and I'm stuck on what amplifier would be good. Currently I have a cheap power acoustik rz1-1500d. I bought this amp because last time I messed around with car stereos, power acoustik was a good/decent brand. Anyhow, this amp allegedly puts out 600w rms at 4 ohm. The infinity is rated at 500w @ 4ohm, my question is, should I look for something right at 500w, or get something a little higher so the amp has some headroom? If my line of thinking is off please let me know. I was looking at a few amps.

Infinity kappa k1000 - 700w at 4ohm

Soundstream t1-4000dl - 700w at 4ohm

I found a factory refurbished kicker cx1200.1 which is 600w at 4ohm.

Any other recommendations or criticism is welcome. Thanks!

It's the only one on your list that's not garbage. And I can't think of a better option cheaper.

based on power u talking about my ppi p1k i $169 and has been tested to do 690rms at 4ohms, idk if u can find test on those others, may say 700 but do 550, ppi is rated at 525 does 690 lol.. i'm running mine at 2 ohm and it's good, @ 4 ohms it should last forever..

You could do a bridged 2 channel but finding one with the right filters is hard.

Alpine PDX would work but expensive and doesn't leave room to improve if you get a 2 or 1ohm woofer.

I would probably go with the kappa amp.

Not a soundstream or kicker fan.

The infinity was my first choice just because everything else in my car is infinity. I just had a hard time finding reviews on it.

If so it says it has a impedance selector switch? Dunno how that works but you can switch it to 2 ohms and get some cheaper power

Yes that's it. It does have the selector switch, but I planned to keep it at 4ohm.
