Running 4v preouts to amp that only accepts 2.5 v

I stashed a couple mmats amps for my next build, and just noticed the manual states itll take up to a 2.5v signal. Havent seen any hu with less than 4v for awhile now. It this going to cause damage? These amps were fvcking expensive.

No, not at all. Just means the gain on the amps will be a little more turned up.

i agree. If the amp caps out at 2.5 volts for the input section, then your gains will have to be hovering around zero

That's what threw me off, I think they came out within the last year or two.

Manual states minimum gain is achieved at 2.5 volts input.

Max gain was something like .125 millivolts.

this is no issue at all. Its the same with banda and taramps. All you need to do is to have your sub level down to the negatives and you'll never clip.

WOrks for me
